CMP Takes Safety Seriously
CMP is committed to maintaining a safety process in which each employee is active in identifying, preventing, and correcting workplace safety issues. Our methods are proven to reduce accidents and injuries on the job.
CMP requires employee participation in all safety activities including: inspection of equipment and worksite conditions, safety training sessions, workplace hazard improvement suggestions and other safety-related activities. Managers are actively involved in reviewing inspection findings to determine needs for further in-depth training or one–on-one counseling.
All new members of our team must attend a safety orientation where they are fully informed about our commitment to safety.
CMP employees leave the orientation equipped with not only valuable safety information but also the required personal protective equipment needed to perform their duties safely. In addition, employees must attend and participate in a monthly safety meeting facilitated by our safety director.
Employees also receive ongoing safety training on specific safety standards per 29 CFR 1926 OSHA Construction Industry Regulations and the American Concrete Pumping Association (ACPA). Many of our employees are OSHA 10-hour trained and some have completed the OSHA 30-hour in construction. All pump operators are ACPA certified. The safety training materials published by the ACPA are utilized to conduct ongoing safety training for our pump operators with the goal of enhancing their safety awareness and in turn improving their performance on the job. At CMP, safety is part of how we do business.
